Senator representing Edo South, Neda Imasuen, has said that he will be moving from the Labour Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress on 12 June, citing disarray within his current party.
In a telephone interview with AriseNews on Monday, Imasuen, who currently serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, blames his decision to dump the Labour Party on the protracted leadership crisis in Party, pointing out that the lack of direction within the party has completely weakened the party’s structure and can no longer support his aspirations.
The senator added that his decision to move to APC is to align his constituents in Edo South with federal development priorities under the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
